How far in advance should I book a session?

In order to ensure that you get an optimal time and day for your session, we recommend booking 2 months in advance.  We always make newborns sessions a priority and try and squeeze them in while they are under 2 weeks old.  While everyday is busy here at Bookout Studios, July-December is our busiest time with people planning their holiday sessions.

Which session should I book?

At Bookout Studios, we offer 4 different session types. You can find more details about what each session includes under the “rates” category. However, here is a break down of the sessions which include key facts to help you select which session is best for you.

The ARTISAN Session is the most luxurious and design-orientated session we offer.  You can get a single session or a baby plan with the Artisan.  This session is ideal for someone that values design and photography as art.  It is perfect for the busy person that would prefer to have clothing designed for them rather than spend time shopping and coordinating outfits on their own.  During this session, a hair and make-up artist will be provided. This is an additional benefit that makes the experience stress free!  If you are looking for an experience that no one else in Alabama can provide and images that speak to your heart like no other, the Artisan session is the one for you!  (Artisan Baby Plans are available if you need multiple sessions during the year)

The PREMIUM Session is a great middle of the road option. You can get a single session or a baby plan with the Premium.  During this session, we design sets from a vast array of backgrounds, furniture and accessories. For this session, the clients provide their own wardrobe. Session is limited to 2 hours. However, clients never feel rushed! This session allows on-location (outdoor) or indoor here at the studio. In addition to all the above, a hair and make up artist will be provided to make you feel and look your best.  (Premium Baby Plans are available if you need multiple sessions during the year)

The Baby B Plan is the perfect option for those who are on a tighter budget, but still value high end photography.  Our associate photographer will capture your little one 3 times throughout the year!  Our associate photographer has extensively apprenticed with Heather Bookout and is TRUE to the Bookout Studios look and style! With the baby b plan, you get just a taste of what Bookout Studios can do to meet your photography needs

Limited Editions are perfect for those who enjoy coming many times throughout the year and value magical and beautiful themed portraits.  These themed sessions are designed by Heather Bookout and photographed by our associate photographer who has been extensively trained by Heather.  This is a great idea if you need an updated image of your family or child, but don’t want to invest in the Premium or Artisan sessions.  The Limited Editions are also friendly on a tight budget.

Do you sell your digital files?

Yes, we sell our high-res digital file collection with a minimum print purchase.

We are located in Huntsville, Alabama at Main Street South Shopping Village next to The Masters.  Our address is 7500 South Memorial Pkwy, Suite 110, Huntsville, AL  35802.

I’m a photographer.  Does Bookout Studios offer mentoring or workshops?

Bookout studios reaches out to photographers in many ways with our sister company, RIPE Photographer. Our studio offers 1 hour phone consults, shadowing opportunities and workshops. Our next studio workshop will be in 2011. The date is yet to be published. Bookout Studios also offers many photographer resource products as well.
