A Note from Heather
I have been on bed rest for the past 3
weeks for pre-term labor and it has been a very creative productive
time for me. I am one of those people when life brings you lemons
you make lemonade! :) I have 3 1/2 more weeks to go on bed
rest and I am excited to see what else I can come up with. Ben
has been working steadily on preparing the house for our newest arrival
and it is exciting to see it come all together.
One of things I have been doing (since I can't shoot right now) is
editing all the amazing images that Amy (my co-worker) is taking.
She has taken all the images featured on this newsletter! I
am so glad to have her as part of my team. She is wonderful.
I am working on a really big project that I can't wait to reveal to you
guys. It is something that I have wanted to do for several years
now, but never quite had the time. It is very exciting. Be
looking for news on this towards the end of the summer.
I am so honored to be a part of your lives and I am thankful for my job
every day!

Limited Editions
We are having so much fun with the
Limited Editions! This image is from our recent Heavenly Angel
Limited Edition. Remember these $35 sessions are themed and limited
because they are only available ONE day out of the entire year.
I wanted to share with you some details on the next few Limited
Editions.
ICE CREAM & BUBBLE GUM - June 6th: This set is fun and
bright, with a orange and white couch with polka dotted lime green
background. We will be providing waffle cones with vanilla Ice
Cream and Sprinkles and if your little one is old enough - bubble gum.
LITTLE BALLERINAS - July 11th: This set is going to be beautiful
and stunning with a rich textured chocolate background with rubbed
bronze. We have all the tutus you will need or you can bring your
own.
LITTLE MEN - July 25th: This is will be neutral so no matter what
your little guy wants to dress up like it will look amazing. Some
great ideas would be doctors, train engineers, fireman, police man or
anything else your little man dreams of being.
FRESH LEMONADE - August 22nd: This set will be all white and with
Lemon accents. It will be timeless and beautiful. We
recommend dressing your children all in white for this fresh Limited
Edition.
A Photography Tip for Moms
I would like to feature a tip on each
newsletter to help you capture your own children better. As moms
we have high expectations from our children. When I photograph my 6
year old I remind myself to think like a child photographer and not her
mom.
Child photographers are fun, engaging and warm. Moms when
photographing their children are demanding, frustrated and boring.
So put aside your expectations and really connect with them in a
fun, silly way. Play a game like catch or who can make the
silliest face.
The worst thing you can do is to tell your child to say cheese or to
sit still. Because saying cheese produces a very cheesy smile.
Don't tell your children to say something let your child come up
with it on his own. You could ask them to come up with the
silliest word they can think of. You are bound to get some crazy
giggles and it becomes pleasurable for both of you!
